New Year's Resolution for all agents

Happy Holiday's to all!  in the spirit of the holiday season I thought I would make my post as positive and upbeat as possible, even though I have just had another experience with a fellow agent that really makes me want to........not be very positive and say nice things! :)  Allow me to do this.  I am going to reformat my post today in the form of a New Years resolution list of things that I promise to do and what I hope that my fellow agents, brokers, mortgage reps, attornies, closing agents etc. will resolve to do as well. How about that?

1. Answer the phone when it rings!

2. Return the calls like my message says I will.

3. Reply to my emails! ALL business related ones first and then jokes and notices of sweepstakes winnings, after that.

4. Post accurate information on the MLS service and listing.

5. Include helpful details such as lockbox location, correct combination code and current status which hopefully, is also accurate.

6. Be professional during negotiations and remember your code of ethics, ie. we represent our client. 

7. Following up to number 6. Leave the attitude out of it and get the property sold.  You don't need to be right, just closed!

8.  Recommend all of my favorite geeky tech tools that I find so helpful with my own business to fellow agents so they too can do some of the previously mentioned things :)

9.  Take more pictures than anyone else and then post them.

10. Review the pictures mentioned previously and if they are bad, remove them and replace them with better shots.

11. Scan all usual documents and have them available to email to fellow agents.

12. Email them when I say that I will.

13.  Get a good printer so that the text is legible for all to be able to read.

** To my fellow agents, please realize that this is a tongue and cheek way of pointing out a few things that everyone probably agrees that if we were to keep them in mind, it will probably benefit our business, noticeably!!
