Who am I thankful for today?

Who am I thankful for today?  While the list of people is long and humbling, I will make an attempt to show who us real estate are thankful for.

• Family - never to be understated and always at the top of the list, always remember that you get one family.  Enjoy their blessing daily!

Integrity - another given.  If you do not have integrity, you essentially have nothing.  Be thankful to have it and grow it!

Real estate agents - yes!  Investors need you!  Whether we invest in one home or several, knowledgable agents provide so much value.  We are thankful for you!

Brokers - for having the courage to keep their businesses going in this tougher economy!  They have to bear the responsibility of so much and deal with real estate agents that may or may not be all they said they were.  Without them, things would be much tougher!

Appraisers - used to be that so many people feared appraisals and with good reason. Now ever when teamed with good fundamentals on your market and good agent experience around you, appraisers are your ally as they can help keep you from royally messing up as an investor.

Attorneys - needless to say as an investor (or any real estate professional), sound legal advice and knowledge is invaluable to ensure your maintain your integrity.  

Contractors - really good contractors are like gold.  Treat these people with respect and the blessings return ten fold.  The good ones will work tirelessly to do the right thing.  Again, integrity is in their blood.

Home buyers - it's not much fun to renovate a house and sell it to nobody.  Seeing the home buyer complete the deal is often times much more satisfying than just making a few dollars.

Loan officers - the good ones can make a deal.  Seek these people and lending friendly institutions out.  They follow the rules without the red tape that makes life painful for everyone.  It's about integrity first with these people. (sensing a theme?)

Investors - investors that help create win-wins for deals is always a point of repeated thankfulness.  Working with the performers is huge!

The industry - real estate is a people business.  And working with people means constant growth to be successful.  If you are growing, you are truly alive and that is a huge reason to be thankful.  If ever in doubt, watch the movie 'Office Space'.  Although the movie was kind of funny!

We are truly privileged to work as entrepreneurs in the best country in the world where we get to grow daily, make a difference often, support it all and do it with the highest levels of integrity.  There is much to be thankful for indeed!
