AFTERTHOUGHT: I've fully committed to this posting to my blog now. If I'm updating my personal timeline I might as well post it into the blog on here for public accountability (if anybody reads these...)

Today (Saturday) not the day listed above. I had an opportunity to speak with a handful of people about where I get my education and mentioned how BiggerPockets was a primary source.

I was surprised to see that nobody knew of this site! It's hard for me to believe that successful real estate investors don't continuously seek out more education online!

I spoke with a guy named Jake who recalled seeing me at the Fortune Builders event a couple of months back. He said he was looking for a mentor and I told him and another gentleman how BP is the one place I can find multiple investors who are doing REI on the level I want to reach.

It's the one place I can ask questions and receive solid answers from investors with experience I strive to attain one day.

Here is your mentorship on BP! AND IT'S FREE! (At least I haven't received a bill yet from any of the other posters)

  1. That's not a bad idea at all - and we've toyed with the idea of a "bookstore" but just never got off the ground. Keep throwing ideas our way, and we'll keep adding them to the list!

  2. Joshua Dorkin, thanks for taking the time to swing by the blog and commenting! I appreciate the acknowledgement. You guys are doing a great job with this community and I'm excited about the opportunity to participate. Brandon Turner with the ninja link again ha Always relevant though which is very helpful. Thanks. You are the third person today to give kudos to the book today. (I bought it because of the reference in one of the podcasts) It may not be along the lines of your vision for free information, but if you are asking each interviewee about what books they like most and people are buying them because of the recommendations... you may want to test trial a bulk purchase of books and sell them through a PRO membership maybe with a purchase discount or something? (*The PRO Shop* Feature?) I'd rather give you all money rather than Amazon. Something to think about! Thanks again for taking notice of my blog gentlemen. It makes things much more personable when you stop by =) Cheers.

    1. Thanks. I appreciate the comments!

  3. Looking forward to following along Taylor Jennings. I'm a big fan of David Allen's "Getting Things Done." Smart guy. I don't implement everything, but a lot of it I do. Check out this post for how I use it: http://www.biggerpockets.com/renewsblog/2013/03/08/one-step-moving-real-estate-investing/ Anyways - yeah, keep up the great work. And keep spreading the word about BP! This site shouldn't just have 500,000 investors on here a month - it should have all 20 Million. We've got a ways to go!

  4. Hey Taylor Jennings - Thanks for the continued updates about your day to day business -- it is fascinating for me and I'm sure others are also enjoying watching your path come together. Otherwise, while BiggerPockets is certainly well known, there are millions of people who are or would be investors, so we're bound to have people who are unfamiliar with us. All we can do is ask our members to help us spread the word about what an amazing community this really is. As you already said, where else can you find a community of mentors who won't charge you a dime -- not to mention all the friends, and business partners you can find here? We appreciate your membership and hope that some of the people you continue to run into decide to join up and engage with the rest of us.
