How My Facebook Page Hit 200 Likes In A Day & Helped Five Charities

I've recently setup a new website to draw in wholesale leads via the web. With that comes the requirement to be relevant to search engines and the world. One way of doing this is by setting up your standard, facebook, google plus and youtube accounts. Obviously, they all need to be maintained and offer content for viewers to enjoy and want to see.

So to keep in line with my love of charity and offering value to anyone who I interact with I decided to make a creative promotion to draw likes and do some good for the world.

The "$100 Towards Your Cause" promotion hit on Thursday and took off right away. Anyone that "liked" my company page, and posted the name of their favorite charity or non-profit is eligible to win. After one week I will randomly select five winners to have $100 donated in their name to their selected charity.

Everyone has loved the idea, I've had a few shares and a lot of support from friends but the greatest thing is I get to give back and draw attention to my business instead of just shoving a new Facebook page down everyone's throat for no good reason. I'll keep pushing this fairly hard for the next few days with the goal being 500 likes in the first week to kick off the new page. Regardless I feel good about the promotion and I'm excited to test out more.
