Day 1 of my 10 day Whole Sell Commitment

I'm freaking out ya'll. I have committed myself to stepping out of my comfort zone which entailed reading blogs about "How to Whole Sell real estate" reading anything and everything I could get my hands on about becoming a whole seller. But now it's time to put all that knowledge into play and go get me a deal. I'm nervous about the entire process but if I said I'd do  it then I need to own up to it. I'm hoping this blog inspires one or two other people to get out there and get started and stop being a procrastinator because I was and I know I'm not the only one in this world who allows fear to paralyze them. Let's take it one day at a time and see what happens.

July 1st

I started on the first day of the month because I wanted to really see my results. I'm including the holiday as a day and I'm not going to slack just because of the fire works and the good barbeque cook outs in the back yard. Nope, I'm going to forge ahead and get me a deal or two.

I  still work full time for someone else but that's certainly not my long term intentions. I will become 40+ hour free soon and then I'll be working for the "women" ME!

Today I obtained  a mailbox at a commercial office building. I really didn't want my real estate deals to have my home address on it so I forked over $89. I did this solely because I'm clairvoyant and I see in my near future that I'll need an office space eventually so, why not get the space and have the professional look on my business cards and marketing mailing flyers. I'm trying to stay busy and keep my focus on becoming a real business and not just a hobby for the moment. You really don't have to do this but I'm doing it because I want to whole sell full time and I need to get out of the house in order to accomplish things or else I'll be washing dishes and cleaning when I should be working. No self discipline!

Next, I obtained my EIN number for my business and downloaded my LLC forms from the Secretary of State. The cost of the LLC was $125. Why did I do this? Well, I didn't have to and either do you but for me, I'm going to be a booming business in the future and I want to be legit. Plus, I read somewhere in all of my reading materials that if I want to assign a contract to a person without putting "and/or assign" on the contract (which I also read was a red flag to banks) then I needed to become a legitimate business. So, that's what I did. I'm not saying anyone out there should follow my guidelines in this blog, I'm merely recording my method as I go along and what works for my brain.

Once all of that was said and done then I started researching for deals. Yeap, I knew day one was going to be hard because I couldn't find a deal if it landed in my lap. I was frustrated and very upset that all the advice I received was on how to get started and then they mentioned locating deals briefly but nobody ever mentioned the deals were going to be under 10 tons of concrete. My goodness, I searched all day for deals and then I said, "tomorrow will be a better day" and I went to sleep on that positive note. Good night.
