Are you too busy to build relationships?

This morning I was answering questions on the BP forum. I came across a member who was asking specifics about becoming a real estate agent because he was not satisfied with his current agent, and "didn't have time to waste" to establish a relationship with a new one.

Have you ever wanted to become a real estate agent because you didn't have time to locate a new one?

If you said yes, my question to you is: How do you expect to be successful over the long term in real estate?

Are you going to become a banker, home inspector, electrician, landscaper, appraiser, and every other profession in the industry?

Real estate requires a lot of relationships. You cannot do everything on your own. If a real estate agent is not getting the job done for you, get out there and meet other real estate agents. You will eventually find someone who aligns with your goals, and you will align with theirs.

So with those quick observations out of my brain, I will leave you with one thought:

Time invested in building relationships will never be a waste.

  1. Great article, Brandon! I cannot agree more with you. I still don't think people realize the true power of networking. One of my new goals for the year of 2017 is to network with at least one individual a week. In this past month, I made over 5 strong connections with real estate investors in my area. What are some of your best tips on networking?
