Step By Step Guide – Getting A Good Real Estate Investor Website

When most people are looking to get their first website, they get quite intimidated.   They find the thought of creating a website that meets their needs almost incomprehensible.   They also think it is too expensive to get a good website for their real estate investing business.

 The reality is quite different.  In this article, I will walk you through what to do to get a website for your real estate investing business.

1)    Select a good domain name
The first thing you must think about is which domain name you are going to use.   This is what people know your website by, such as   So your domain name is the gateway to your real estate investing business.

 You can compare a domain name to a phone number - this is how people reach you.

It is therefore important to select a good domain name.  A good domain name is

i)     Easy to remember

ii)    Preferably short - this also makes it easy to remember.  However this might not always be possible

iii)    Related to your business - preferably, people should be able to tell what you do when they see your domain name.

iv)    Contains keywords that are relevant to your business - this is important not only to people but also with search engine optimization.

Search engines rank a domain with relevant keywords higher than others.

v)    Contains your geographical region -  This will help you target your traffic with the search engines even though it might not always be possible.  This will give you a definite edge if you target a local market.

 Is registering more than one domain necessary?

Depending on your marketing strategy, this might be highly recommended.   For instance, you can register a new domain that points to a squeeze page.

For example, you might point "" to a page where you target foreclosure leads.

Where should you register your domain?

Most people prefer to do a one stop shop where they buy a website along with a domain name and hosting as one package.  This is the most convenient option.

4)    Get your website installed
 The last step is to have your website running on your hosting account.

 You should get your website with installation or with instructions of how to get it installed.
