Ways to make your home more luxurious without spending a fortune

There are a lot of things you can do for your home to make it more beautiful and luxurious. Some of these will cost you a fortune, but there are also those easy ones that won’t drain your wallet. Read more on some cheap and easy things that will make your home look luxurious.

1. Three is the magic number
Some experts say that using the rule of three in your space can make it a lot more interesting. This has become very popular in the last few years. Especially in the form of triptychs, more precisely, art work in three pieces. But, these can sometimes be really costly, which doesn’t mean you can’t make them yourself. You can just download a picture, have it blown up, cut it in three pieces and frame it.

2. Less is more
Instead of shelves that are stuffed with different things, designers often say that you should go for a minimalist look. A few books and a vase will fill up the space and will look much more beautiful than a thousand different things.Use objects of different dimensions and colors to give your shelves a personal touch. You’ll turn a pretty common space into something lovely and wonderful.

3. Drama
You can use several different tricks to create a dramatic passion in your space. One of those tricks is when you paint only one wall in your room into a darker color than the other walls. It will give the room a special warmth and sophisticated look. Renovating only one walls is perfect for a low budget makeover, because it will save you time and money.

4. Eclectic mix
Neutral colors work great in making your space more luxurious. But, for a greater effect, use intense colors and textures added through to accessories. It will give energy and spice to the space. Colors have a great effect on the way we perceive a space and they way that space makes us feel, so be careful picking the colors pattern for it.

5. Illusion and trickery
Designers have tons of tricks up their sleeves. They might not reveal some of them to the wider audiences, or to anybody that is, but there are those they are fond of sharing, and we thank them very much for that. One trick they love using is connecting two or more carpets to make the room appear bigger than it actually is. You can also apply the rule of three here, because three elements are key for visually expanding the space. A neutral pallet of colors, some mirrors placed behind the sofa, and a large carpet will very effectively make a small room look bigger than it actually is.

6. Great lighting
A key element in every space. Great lighting and all the elements going along with it, like blinds, different types of windows, have a big, big impact on our living spaces. Make sure it is of the highest possible quality.
