Developing Stronger Relationships In Your REI Business

As we all know, technology is everywhere and has taken over. There are so many positive impacts of technology BUT it cannot substitute for everything in a real estate transaction especially the human interactions.

Real estate investing is a localized industry that you can touch, feel and smell along with getting a gut feeling from seeing a property and meeting a person.

The touch and feel element of a property and the people involved is way different from other business's that can operate primary online via technology.

We are huge advocates of using tech, software and everything else that makes our business and life much easier, cheaper and quicker but there is some things that will always benefit from human interaction.

Good deals are made via conversations with sellers, buyers and lenders. Don't forget we are in the game of people.. That has to come first. You can’t hide behind your business or your website. You have to interact and provide a service to benefit others. Real Estate Investing is a smaller niche of a small industry and we live in a small world. Even in my core market of Washington, DC and the Baltimore area, which is larger compared to most markets, the industry is extremely small and everyone knows each other.

If you’re looking to create a reputation and expand your real estate investing career, you have to do it the right way. You have to have face to face interactions. If you say you’re going to do something, you have to do it— it’s extremely important.

Just to recap, there’s tech, there’s software and there’s offline real estate, if you combine the two, you can create a powerhouse real estate investment career. There’s a lot of money in this industry if you do it the right way, you’ll be around for a long time.
