Got so caught up i forgot to post week 4 and 5!!!

Well like the title says I got so caught up in stuff with the business and just life in general that I completely got behind in my blog posts. These past two weeks had some ups and downs in them for sure. So in order to make it even story we will do what I call the negative cookie. I'm going to tell you some ups, then some downs, and then some more ups.

So some of the ups and probably the biggest one was our trip to Indiana! It was a hell of a trip out there taking a red eye flight out to spend eight hours with a turnkey company we may be going with then to board a plane back home. Let's just say this trip was fueled by lots and lots of coffee. When we got out there I put on my show to of wearing a suit and being professional and was relieved that they two brothers that run it were in polo shirts and flip flops. Now I know some of you may be thinking that this is extremely unprofessional and a red flag but I will strongly disagree with you. For me, it is not completely how you look but rather how you carry yourself and your businesses. Is your office building a disaster zone? If so then it is a red flag because is shows you are not organized. Is wearing shorts and flip flops a red flag? Not as long as you carry every other aspect of your business perfectly and you know what you're talking about then I do not see the big deal. Especially when it is 85 degrees and it allows me to take my tie off and roll up my sleeves and get down to brass tax.

With that all being said I was extremely satisfied with their operation, and being someone who used to work constructions I was pleased with the attention to detail their in-house contractors have and the quality of products that the company chooses. So between that and every aspect being in-house from start to finish including a CPA, real estate agent, and property manager I can guarantee that we will be going with them.

Now the bad part, unfortunately, one of the big reasons why I started this journey seems to have gotten cold feet. I started this because my girlfriend hates her job and randomly started talking about real estate. So I learn more and talk to her about starting a business with real estate investing and she is all gun hoe for the idea. Well $2,000 later and a lot of hours she has barely done anything for "our business" and I have to constantly ask her to do things to help me out, even when she knows what needs to be done. We had a big talk about it and it seems she is going to back out, but I will give her a few days to think about everything and see what she wants to do. So that was a hit but will not slow me down, if anything it will speed me up because I no longer have to bounce decisions off of someone.

Now that that soap box is over with back to one more good thing. I figured out the website finally!!! Well, sort off, still putting it together but have figured out how to get the darn templet to work and am editing on the info and piecing it together so hopefully, in a week or two it will be done and ready. Also back in 2008 my father passed away and left his house to me in a revocable trust with my Aunt controlling. Well, these past two weeks she has decided to finally turn it over to me. Luckily it has a lot of equity in it. Unfortunately, It needs a lot of work, some I will have to do myself and others I will have to hire out to a contractor. But it has been nice being in the house I was born and raised in again.

So with this week ahead, I want to...

- get to page 180 in "The Book on Flipping Houses"

- work on the web page

- begin printing letter for the direct mail campaign

- mail in the grant deed to my new rental house (cash flow $100-160!)

- Research refinancing and HELOC options!!!
