Grant has been in real estate for over a decade, combining his passion for helping people with a solid foundation in business. He earned his degree in Business Management with a focus on Economics and Finance from the University of South Carolina Upstate. Before diving into real estate, Grant proudly served 10 years in the United States Marine Corps, where he gained a global perspective and a deep appreciation for the value of home. Today, he is honored to be part of KW Military and a RamseyTrusted real estate agent, guiding clients through one of life’s biggest decisions with honesty, integrity, and a results-driven focus. Grant’s background in finance and economics has given him a keen eye for recognizing value and understanding market demand — essential skills for helping investors make smart decisions. He has always loved fixing up homes and watching them come back to life for new owners. That passion continues to drive him as he assists investors in finding properties with great potential, whether for flipping, rentals, or portfolio growth. A proud Upstate South Carolina native, Grant is raising his three children alongside his amazing wife, Jennifer. Michelle and Grant with the McDowell Team at Keller Williams were absolutely fantastic to work with! As first-time homebuyers, we needed someone who would guide us through the process and help us understand each step along the way — and they did exactly that.
They were always quick to respond to our questions and ready to assist with anything we needed. They helped us find a home that checked most of our boxes, stayed within our budget, and aligned with our goals. Not once did we feel pressured; they always respected our guidelines and priorities.
From the very first phone call, it was clear that Michelle and Grant were committed to being honest, setting realistic expectations, and making sure we made the best possible decision. We’re so grateful to have had them by our side and would highly recommend them to anyone looking to buy a home!

We cannot recommend Grant McDowell highly enough! Grant was an absolute lifesaver for us as we navigated buying our first home. He dedicated his weekend days to showing us countless properties, always with our best interests at heart. We particularly appreciated how he would honestly tell us if a house wasn't right or if an offer was too high – a true advocate for his buyers. Grant helped us find the perfect house, and we would 100% recommend him to anyone looking for a realtor, especially first-time homebuyers.

Where do I even begin?! Grant and his team were absolutely amazing. I truly could not have asked for a better, cooler realtor to help me navigate purchasing my first home. Grant went above and beyond at all points throughout the process and was so incredibly knowledgeable. I had the upmost trust in him and his team, which ultimately made me feel confident and at ease throughout a process that usually would be stressful and nerve wracking. What I appreciated most, and what left the most profound impact, was how much he genuinely cares about finding you the home that you want. Sometimes realtors can come off a bit pushy as they are chasing the commission, but at no point did I ever feel that with Grant. He reassured me time and time again that there is no pressure to choose a house/put in offer in. He will spend as long as it takes and work with you to see a vision in a home. Overall, I cannot say enough great things. This is the only team I will use for all real estate purchases!

I could not be more pleased with my decision to go with Grant. He was recommended to me by my financial advisor and I was not steered wrong in any way. When you read reviews about Grant's professionalism, it couldn't be more true. My lender said, 'Grant will fight for you' and boy did with the owner paying for a few things. He was nothing but patient and explained everything to me thoroughly. This was super helpful as a first time home owner. By the time I finished on closing day, I felt like Grant had become a friend. If I ever buy/sell again, I will absolutely go with Grant. I feel like he has become a friend. I highly recommend him.

Grant was amazing! He was very patient, committed, and communicative during our time with him. We had initially only been selling our home with him but had to switch plans last minute to buy a home. He made the best outcome out of a very stressful situation for my family and I am so thankful that we had him in our corner!

Amy worked hard to get my dad’s house sold after he passed in May. She worked hard to get our tenants out after the house was sold. Took a few months but we finally closed.

I found Grant on Bigger Pockets and he was my agent to buy a house in Spartanburg. Yes, he was a great agent, lots of people are, but Grant is your ROCKSTAR.
Grant grew up in the county and invests as well (STR, LTR, BRRR).
Grant knows the history AND can evaluate it through an investor’s lens. He steered me away from an area and he was right.
Grant pays attention to what is not yet on the market. With Grant, I got a pre-listed house at a great deal.
Best of all, Grant will connect you with other Rockstars! Everyone I have used from Grant’s recommendations has been amazing - from HVAC to pest control. He even connected me with a better loan officer!
You should get Grant on your team, but he better still take my calls. ;-)

I found Grant through Bigger Pockets when my family first started considering relocating from Michigan and looking for primary residences in upstate SC. He was super responsive right off the bat and had showings booked before we even made the drive down. In short order we were able to find a fantastic property for my parents to retire to and my wife and I found our first live-in fix and flip in SC. He even hooked us up with a fantastic contractor in the area to build our first ever new construction!
Real estate is Grant's business, and he excels at it as both an agent and an investor. He knows the area and has a great network. But more importantly he's a genuinely good guy and will do his best to help where he can.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Grant to anyone new to the area, new to the business or interested in growing your portfolio.

I found Grant through the BP real estate agent finder and we went from first communication to closing on a property within 30 days. He was really fast sending me opportunities and lining up showings. It was very helpful having an agent who has rentals and has flipped properties because he helped me price out the numbers on fixing up certain parts of the house. Can't recommend him enough and will be working with him again soon on my next investment!

Grant is awesome! I had worked with another "investor-friendly" agent before Grant who did not cut it. I started working with Grant and he was on it! He is responsive and knowledgeable. He has a number of rentals himself and knows how much it costs to rehab properties. He knows the area which is super helpful because I am out of state. To top all that off, Grant is a super nice guy. I am definitely buying another house with Grant.

I cannot say enough good things about Grant and his team! When we met Grant, my wife and I were in a really tough spot and struggling to find a place that we could call home. Within just a few days, Grant had taken us on and scheduled a few homes for us to visit, one of which we just closed on this past Friday, a multifamily property that we couldn't be more excited about! He was a lifesaver for my wife and I and we are incredibly grateful for everything he did for us throughout this process. If not for him and his team, we would not be in the home/investment property we are today. If you are looking for a home, we couldn't think of anyone better to help you than Grant and his team. As we continue to grow our portfolio of investment properties, we will certainly continue to work with them and would recommend him to anyone.
