1031 Exchange to different entity
Question for everyone:
I am selling my duplex and doing a 1031 exchange, we are currently under contract. I am teaming up with my Father to buy a different investment property.
Here's the question: Because of financing, can I do the 1031 to his LLC even though I'm not a principal, manager, or member of that LLC?
I'm guessing it's a no, but interested to hear everyone's thoughts.
