Just saying hello from Westchester County
Hello Folks,
I'm getting my ducks in a row to begin "getting in the game" or at the very least, networking. I am a building engineer in White Plains working for property management companies. Property management is all I know so it seems like a natural evolution. My search will go where my money will take me. Westchester may be out of my league to start. I'm looking at getting in the game with about 50k plus closing costs. I will begin with pre approval process shortly to see where I stand. I am up for buying a bit north of White Plains. Dutchess, Orange county etc..... The Newburgh properties keep popping up , its seems like a fascinating story with its location, water front amenities , yet it seems to be stifled by crime reputation, hence the cost being so low...(?)
So anyway, just saying "HI".
If your in my area or in my situation. Stop by and say hello! I'm looking forward to being here on BP.
Jason......

Hey Jason, Ive added you lets connect I'd love to talk further in regards to your search talk soon!
Welcome @Jason Nacerino
I am located in Yonkers and do work throughout Westchester County with some project further north and south in NYC.
Newburgh is an interested City. I have been up there a few times with a couple projects I have there. It's definitely transitional at the moment but who knows when it will be "great" as many are speculating. I would say go there and see for yourself. There are some rough areas so be careful.

Hey Jason, I'm also located in Westchester (Scarsdale). Obviously most properties in our area are pretty unaffordable so I've been getting contacts for Buffalo and Rochester. Hit me up if you ever want to chat, I'm a newbie RE investor too.
