What’s up guys !

Let me hear your opinion, I just signed with my brokerage and I’m brainstorming a game plan for success. While sitting here the idea of joining a team my first year came up.

What do you think ?

I’m a part time agent at the moment and planning to go full time by the end of 2023.

Should I go solo or join a team?

I recommend it IF they provide leads, support and mentorship. Now they shouldn't spoon feed you leads but if they can kick some your way that'd help. Our team offers leads to agents to get their business going. The biggest key is they should help mentor on finding leads, when you are under contract, etc. Being new there is so many things to learn and you will be pulled different directions.

I recommend joining a team for the reasons @Caleb Brown mentioned.

A team gives you leverage in terms of: lead generation, mentorship, network, and credibility. Being on a team will shorten your learning curve and help you develop faster. Think of yourself as an apprentice (mentee) learning under someone else. It's likely the bulk of your development is going to occur in years 0-3 and assuming your team provides you with the aforementioned things you'll likely achieve success much faster than you would on your own.

Start with a team and learn as much as possible. When you're ready branch off and do your own thing

I think the team approach is a good opportunity to accelerate learning, particularly when the market is slowing down and competition will be increasing.
