Hi Everyone!

I have a house that has been gutted.  It currently has no insurance on it and I am trying to get insurance.  The previous insurer dropped the policy when they found out the house was vacant.

What kind of insurance should I get?  I was looking at vacancy insurance then a contractor also mentioned construction insurance.  I'm interviewing contractors and the project probably wont start for another month after we get permits.  I want to protect the house in case of vandalism, a tree falls on the house or any disasters, etc.   Any advice would be appreciated.  I called Foremost and they wont insure the house because they said it didn't currently have insurance.

Thanks

Builder's risk insurance (that's the name of the type of insurance you need.)
