How to find new investment properties

I am a new RE Investor starting out and trying to find out how I can find investment properties in the Chicagoland area.

Hi there Karla, 

I would recommend finding an investment friendly real estate agent. You can probably find them here on biggerpockets. 

You can go to local R.E meet ups, facebook groups, and try to find wholesalers who have discounted properties. 

You can reach out to homeowners on your own asking to buy their homes via mail or if you can find their phone number give them a call.

Look at properties on the MLS and network with agents/wholesalers/investors to get on their mailing lists. If you want to source your own off-market deals you can drive for dollars, do direct mail campaigns, door knock, and cold call.
