Brand New - In the Research Phase

Tim DiMario
Posted

Hey All,

Brand new to BiggerPockets as of today.  Just started the research phase and learn everything I can about this process before I make my first purchase.  Have no idea how long it will take to get to my first property but looking forward to learning the process and getting to know the like minded folks on this forum.

Hope to speak to you all at some point in the future.

My advice - don't do too much research..... Some people just do reseach and never really do anything.....

Facts. Just try to understand what you're looking to get out of it, put systems in place to get there and then work at it. No goal, no white boarding, none of that houdini grade D salami. Keep it simple.

Thanks John. I've been reading a lot of books on this subject lately. If you don't mind, what sets this one apart from the rest? What about it helped you on your investing journey?

Welcome Tim,

As someone who just recently started and was finally able to buy their first property there is definitely a lot to it, you'll always be learning so don't try to know it all at once. My advice would be to find something that interests you and start with that. For instance if you are handy or have an understanding of construction do flips. If you like networking or don't have a lot of capital maybe becoming an agent would be good.
