I'm in Anderson SC I see potential in every property I lay eyes on. There are numerous vacant properties in Anderson. I'm from Philadelphia and I am familiar with how acquiring these properties in PA works but I'm very interested in finding out how the south does this a lot of these properties are quick flips and with my skill could be quite beautiful!
I always recommend starting with the local REI (real estate investing) clubs in the area to plug into the local players and pool of buyers & sellers in the marketplace. From there you can see who may be the wholesalers or rehabbers who have stuff in that area and get an idea on learning the ropes.
thanks I'll look into that.
@Calvin Harrington there is a lot of potential in Anderson, but also a lot of barriers from the Anderson CITY government. Instead of incentivizing the REI community, they make us out to be greedy wall street type people and tax the ever living crap out of us and also make it near impossible to evict a dead beat tenant. The first thing I heard when I got into REI was to avoid investing inside Anderson city at all costs. Now outside Anderson city, but in Anderson County, there are deals to be had, especially in mobile homes.
Hope this helps!
I'm not afraid of mobile homes at all In fact I kinda like them it's a shame that so many potentionally great homes are just sitting here decaying though
