I understand location is everything. Any reliable tips/resources for identifying past and current market trends for the neighbourhood/street?
I'm currently interested in purchasing a "buy and hold " live in multifamily home for my first investment.
The 3 things that I look for are:
Demographics- the overall picture of a location. Age, Incomes, Gender and migration or flight from the area
Employment- Is it near my market area and will it support an economic base.
Infrastructure- How is the status of the local community. Is there a great school system, Is the community involved, and will it likely grow in the future.
The big 3 are:
Demographics- what the overall community looks like as to age, gender, social status and etc.
Employment-Is there a solid economic base to support housing
Thanks Mike Kelley,
Great answer, would you suggest any reliable resources for researching the big 3?
