Getting a job in Real Estate?

Hey BP Community!

I just had a quick question before I head to work. Is it worth it to get a career in Real Estate solely with the intent to head off on your own once you've gained the skills/connections necessary to flip a house?

I'm asking because it's an option I'm considering but I'd like to see if anyone has any experience with going this route, how it has worked, and what the pros and cons have been.
