I'm looking for a good CPA that has a fair amount of experience with real estate investors, preferably in Northeast Oklahoma. anybody have suggestions?

Hi @Abram Edawrd Inman ! Can you describe what specific services you need from a CPA? Are you looking for help filing a tax return, assistance organizing your financial systems, or something else entirely?

At this point, I'm just looking for one that can help advise me on what I should do before I start investing in real estate, so I can go into it with a better financial understanding.

Based on your profile - It seems like you are doing some good things to get your feet wet like read books, attend real estate events and be engaged on the BP forums. I would also listen to the BD Podcasts if you haven't already.

It looks like area that you live in is great for real estate investing. The average home sales price in Mayes County is $100,000. Some homes might be $50,000 and some homes might be $150,000.

I would connect with a real estate agent and ask him/her to connect you with access to the MLS.
See if there are homes around $60,000 that look like good investments.
If there are good investment homes at $60,000 - aim to save up approximately $16,000.
This should cover 20% and closing costs.

As you are in the process of saving up - Find a lender.

In the meantime - let me know if you have any specific tax/financial planning questions.
