Hey guys, I am in a bit of a dilemma. I love learning and growing my knowledge of REI through BP, but there are times I wish to have a face to face meet up with investors in my area. My town is so small that it is difficult to find someone in my area that I can talk with. I am not looking for the "mentor' like everyone is; I just would like to have someone to actively discuss REI. Any tips to finding "off the grind" investors in my area.

@Nathan Killebrew It can be tough. I'm in a town of 9,000 and have a hard time even though I manage 300+ renals, am an active real estate agent, and even started a real estate investing group. I had about 50 people express interest when I started the group and about 20 showed for the first meeting. Then 10. Then five. I let it go after about 8 months because I realized most of them had already given up and would not take the steps necessary to move forward. Shame.
So most of my networking is right here on BP and a couple local investors that I have met or worked with over the years. You can try talking to your lenders or REALTORS, see if they'll put you in touch with anyone that invests in your area. Invite them for coffee or lunch, see if you strike up a relationship.

Nathan got it; a little coffee goes a long way. Have a nice, open and honest conversation and see what comes out.
