Hello all,
My name is Sebastian Adams. I am 25years old and I have a strong vision and plan for real estate investing. Im looking to get started in rental properties in my area (Orange County NY)
I've met with business bankers and accountants and I'm in the process of getting an LLC.
My question is how do I get started? I’ve been studying and reading constantly, but can anyone share their personal experience?
I’m eager to learn and to put my qualifications to use in a productive and truthful way.
Thank you all.
Love and light 🙏🏽

I'd recommend finding a mentor or local investor to learn from. Having someone like that in your corner will save you from making costly mistakes when starting out.
Go to a local real estate meetup. Check out the events on here and also check up Meetup. The bigger ones may have a small fee ($20) to cover the cost of renting the space but it'll be worth it. The real estate investors that go to the event are looking for something. So just network and see if you can find someone that is looking for something you can provide and boom you'll be able to develop a relationship with the person and learn from their experience.
The other thing you can do is find an real estate agent that specializes in investment properties and try to build a relationship with them.
If that doesn't work then just start going to open houses. You'll get experience walking the property and you'll start seeing the same people over and over again. Try to connect with them, introduce yourself as a newbie investor and see if they are any events or groups they'd recommend. Most of the serious investors I know are more than happy to help out newbies. They don't see them as competition and are happy to share their stories over coffee or a beer.
