I'll be there first to admit I'm a little slower than most people. Flipping interests me but it all seems so complex. I'm not sure if I have what it takes

Yes, you can do it! Flipping is not complex as long as you are prepared and have a good team around you.  I would highly recommend you team up with an experienced flipper for your first 1-3 flips.  The first one is the toughest, then it gets easier with each flip.
