How important is it to have a REI mentor when you're starting out?

If you have a mentor, how did you find them and describe the impact your mentor had on your REI journey?

@Clarence Bell they are not important, except they may be able to get you where you want to go more quickly.  The question you should be asking yourself is?

1.  What do I want to do Real Estate Related?

2.  Can I learn this information (for free) by using this website, others and reaching out to local investors in your area willing to share?

3.  How motivated am I to get this done?

4.  Can I make a game plan and stick to it?

Mentors are great at providing you with great information to get you where you want to go quickly, but at the end of the day its up to you to get there.
