auction.com....do I need to do a title search.

I know that there are tons of threads about auction.com. I've been reading through them, but it's almost information overload. I was wondering if I need to do a title search before I even bid on something from there site or if because it is REO all liens are cleared and I don't need to. Really any advice on auction.com would be extremely helpful as I've never done at before. Also, what is the best strategy to fund something like that if you don't have cash on hand?
