Im a Real Estate Broker and wanted to get into the field of REOs. Any advise on where and how to start?
I'd look elsewhere. Since the glut of foreclosures is over, banks slashed their numbers of agents years ago. The remaining ones have vast experience with REO's, the commissions are lower than standard, and more work is involved. Agents made their money on reo's purely on big volume, which doesn't exist anymore.
@Sam Drizin I agree with @Wayne Brooks . The only real way to make it as REO broker/realtor is to set up a shop centered around that. Volume is key because the commissions are low and the timelines are long. There's much lower hanging fruit out there then REOs. Especially right now this late in the real estate cycle.
