VA " Rehab " loan similar to FHA 203K ?
I am pretty sure they is not a VA rehab loan similar to the FHA's 203K rehab loan , as I have done quite a bit of research on the matter. But I did read about a " Fixer Upper " type loan that you can use with a VA loan. Is anyone familiar with this ?
I'm definitely leaning VA ( mainly for % down and no PMI ), put then again, I'm looking to purchase a REO type property, so the odds are, it will need some amount of work done, in order to qualify for Financing / to Close ? In this case, what options do I have....
1. Save up money for these repairs for an Escrow account ?
2. Forget going VA, and go with an FHA loan ' 203K rehab loan attached to it, get the Rehab costs rolled into the Loan, and try and get my States Down Payment assistance program, to help me try and get the property for )% down ?
