Huge hairy mess
Closed on a house from HUD on Monday. Learned today that when Bank of America foreclosed on the property they did not include the second parcel number in their paperwork. This trickles down to us only owning one of the 2 lots. The other lot is bring foreclosed on by the City for back taxes. Nobody ordered a survey, and it was missed by the title agent, who did get a copy of the quit claim deed for the lot in question in the paperwork from the title search. The driveway and huge deck which is attached to the house sits on the unowned lot. I am afraid of go much this is going to cost us. Always get a survey. Always.
