Property Tax start and end date??

Hi,

I got my first property tax statement from Colin county TX after I moved into brand new house (in May 2018). The statement stated as 2018 property tax, so does that means the property tax amount is for all 12 months in 2018? and the due date is in Jan 2019. I tried to look for start date and end date on the statement but didn't find the information. Please help!!
