New Agent Seeking Small Active Brokerage

Hello all,

I passed the MA RE salesperson exam very recently and have begun my brokerage search. I understand there are pros and cons to all shapes and sizes of brokers, but I think I have concluded that I would like to go with a small brokerage in the Worcester area. I currently work as a leasing agent for a PM company and would like to ideally keep this position while I train as an agent.

Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

Congratulations Collin! I'm not an agent but it sounds like you're heading in the right direction. With your first brokerage, it's crucial to consider how developed their training program is and the support they offer to new agents (e.g. Will they be consistently available to answer your questions/help you navigate new scenarios?). I recommend seeking out a mentor prior to joining a brokerage if you can. Also, David Greene's book Every Real Estate Agent's Guide to Building a Profitable Business is a great tool for someone starting out
