I am a licensed Mortgage Lian Officer and a Licensed Real Estate Agent. My girlfriend is a Licevsed Real Estate Agent. It's my understanding I can originate a mortgage AND be on real estate side of ALL loans except FHA. my question is, how involved can I be in the transaction on the real estate side of an FHA loan if my girlfriend is the realtor and I am the loan officer. Am I allowed to answer real estate related questions? Am I allowed to show them a home if my gf is not available? I called HUD directly and they were no help. They just emailed the guideline, which isn't very clear. Does anyone have any experience or knowledge on the topic?
