I got discharged from a Chapter 7 in August, Want to know how many years do I have to wait to even remotely think about investing and actually making money? Currently have 30K saved up and building my credit back up.. Im patient though, just trying to see my options

You don't have to wait at all to start investing in real estate. You may not qualify for a mortgage anytime soon, but there are plenty of other ways to invest in real estate. You can be a passive investor in other peoples deals, or invest in land, condos, or other properties that you can get into all cash at a low cost. You will certainly be hindered by not being able to qualify for many types of financing, but that doesn't mean you can't invest in some way.
