Retiring with real estate cashflow in 9 years...

Any longer term, seasoned investors out there, I have one question.  Can financial independence from cashflow on your properties be achieved just under a decade (9 years)?  Assume your monthly net cash flow goal was $15,000/mo...is this possible?  If so, how have you or how would you do it? 

There are a lot of variables in play here, especially where you are now financially and how much you plan to invest in order to hit that monthly goal.  If you can get into a 75 unit building that nets $200/door/month after all costs, reserves, etc... you're there, $15k/month!  But, without knowing where you starting from, it's hard to figure out how far you have to go in your desired timeline.
