Florida Mobile Home Park Insurance

Hey BP,

I am having trouble finding an insurance company to insure a 28 space mobile home park in Florida. The homes are all owned by the park. Most companies are able to find general liability, but unable to find a company to ensure the park, homes, and ancillary structures.

Anybody have any recommendations?

Thank you!

Kellen

@Kellen Driscoll Check with your local manufactured home association. Usually they're a good resource for referrals. Hope that helps!

I take it it's a hurricane issue? Or is it something else?

@Scott Schaar  There are multiple issues:

1) Some of the homes are older ranging from 1970s-early 2000s

2) Wind insurance is a tough one to get it seems

3) The bank is requiring hazard insurance in the amount of the mortgage rather than the value of the homes/ ancillary structures
