Found a few vacant properties this weekend but not much deed info?

I went driving for dollars this weekend and spotted numerous properties; two of which is vacant and boarded up. I went digging around the county assessors website and could not find much history on either properties except for names of the owner. Does this mean there is no mortgage? I assume they don't live there because it's boarded up but I could not find any forwarding address either. My next step is to go to the assessor's office but I can't make it there until Monday. Is there anyway to find out more in the meantime?

Your looking to spend too much time chasing vacant homes. If you cant find the new address for the owner quickly then move on to the next. Try focusing on FSBO signs, they are easier and you will actually be able to speak with someone. Good luck

Hey @curtdavis, I went digging into a vacant near my home and found that it just got foreclosed on a 2k tax lien. I'm about 1 month too slow as I don't have resources yet to go through the bidding process now. I did realize that I spent too much time on one vacant but I learned a lot spending my morning at city hall talking to Assessor's, DPD and Inspectional services.
