I have found a property I love, the problem I'm running into is that my lender doesn't think it would qualify for FHA. It is a .6 acre piece of land with three separate homes on it. It is listed as a triplex and the property is zoned multi-family. Does having the units detached disqualify this from being eligible for FHA? Any creative ways to get this one done with an FHA loan? Thanks!
As far as I know it makes no difference as long as they are all on the same parcel/tax ID no. The condition of each house will have to pass fha inspection though.
