I have an individual interested in possibly selling her property. She currently rents it and the tenant will be out in October. She is unable to provide me access to the property. I asked her for the repairs needed and she does not know. How do I know the cost of the rehab if I can't go inside to see for myself? What should be my next step ?
I quite often encounter properties that won't show the interior without an accepted offer. I just move on, not going to happen. At least with me. I only offer on properties I've been able to thoroughly inspect.
If you want to move forward with the property in question, then I would assume a worst case scenario and base your price on that. Sometimes the exterior of the house can provide insight.
