Does anyone know if there is a Tax Deed Seasoning period where you can get a title insurance policy so many years after a tax deed without quiet title in Texas?  I know it is 4 years in Florida.  Trying to buy property in Texas that is a 5 year old tax deed.

The norm is 2 years but some title companies want up to 5 years.  I do have one title company that will generally do it after 180 days if not a homestead  but they charge a little more as they verify what is needed.  Takes a longer explanation but if yours was sold at a tax sale in Texas 5 years ago you should have no problem.  I am available for more info if you or anyone else needs it.  Just contact me with a PM.
