To Add or Not Add Furniture to sell a house

Goncalo Martins

Hello,

I just purchased a single 1 bedroom apartment, that I am renovating right now.

My initial plan was to rent, but then I changed my mind and now I want to sell it, so I can buy a 2 bedroom and rent this one.

I already bought on a promotion sales some furniture half of the initial price. My question is about which is better to sell the house.

With some furniture, or without any furniture? No lamps, no sofa, no bed...just empty.

Thank you in advance

All the best

Goncalo - Portugal

@Goncalo Martins staging won't necessarily help you get a higher price for the home, but likely will help you sell it faster. Plus furnishing a 1BR probably won't take an incredible amount of furniture.

Hi @Goncalo Martins! If you're in Portugal it is very unusual for people here to stage their house, this means yours should really pop out among the rest, as @Jeremy Taggart said, it might not help you get a higher price but should help sell it faster for sure.
