How do I remove this tenant?

Hi BP fam! I'm in the talks with a seasoned investor who is looking to slowly pass along his properties.

I am in the kitchen cabinet/countertop industry, so he is a customer of mine who uses me to provide cabinets and counters for his rentals.

So long story short he has a property for me in Pleasantville NJ. It would be a sellers finance with 20% down.

He is giving me a very generous deal but the kicker is the tenant in there now doesn't pay his rent and he said I would have to be responsible to get him out. Which kind of scared me away.

Just looking for some advise on how I should approach this situation and the right chess moves here!

Doesnt sound like he's giving you a great deal after all? I'd consult local attorneys to see what costs would be associated with removing a tenant in your state. It's not a good deal, seller financing or not, if the property is an income producing home where the tenant, your income generator, does not pay.

Yea you're absolutely right. I will definitely be checking with a local attorney.

Thanks for the response!
