Janitorial Expenses - Looking for Cost Benchmarks
Looking for some benchmarks/guidance regarding typical janitorial expense for a small office building in greater Boston. We own a 14,000 sf multi-tenant office building. Purchased it vacant. Renovated it and now have tenants moving in. We have gotten a couple bids for cleaning 5 times per week, with trash removal (we do not have dumpster on site). The building has 6 bathrooms and 2 kitchens. The quotes I have gotten are for approximately $700 to $800 per week. That is equal to about $2.50/sf per year. That feels very heavy. Does anyone have any insight on this that they can provide? Thanks!
