Hi Bigger Pockets family, I recently saw a house that was boarded up in Detroit, 48228, if anyone is familiar with that area.  I am new to this, so I called the treasurer of Wayne County and they said that all foreclosures that were resulted because of not paying taxes they auctioned off in September and October. If a home is in foreclosure because they didn't pay their mortgage then the home is in the hands of Wayne county register of deeds, but you have to pay them to accesses the information for the home.   My question is to I have to pay register of deeds of Wayne county to access this information to see how the foreclosure happened?  Is there a better or easier way to do this?
