Fanny Mae homepath house
I've been searching the mls for a deal for me to house hack. I came across this fanny Mae house listed as a single family but I knew the people who used to rent there. I knew the house had an apartment in the basement. Everything about this basement apartment seems to be up to code, but I guess the previous owner didn't get any permits. My realtor told me that in the documents that fanny Mae has the buyer sign says I cannot rent out any of the house due to it being a sfr or there's a 10k fine. Can anyone point me in a direction that will make this work for me? I do plan on living in it and renting out the basement apartment.
