Note Foreclosure Bidding Instructions?

Hey, so I purchased a note. All looked great, then home owner passed away. I was told only option was forclosure. Sale/auction scheduled for April. I'm being asked for bidding Instructions. Does anyone have recommendation for what parameters to set that woukd ensure a greater likelihood of getting most from the sale without turning away bidders?
