How to Find News on Current Market Conditions for Apartment
Hello!
I'm trying to do research on the current apartment (commercial) real estate conditions. I see news about residential real estate and how prices have shot up 20%+ but I don't really see or can find news about apartments. No crystal balls of course but I can't tell if the apartments being listed in Los Angeles are low inventory or high inventory, inflated prices like residential etc.
Thank you for any advice you can give!
Multi-housing news, Housing Wire (which is a tad more general), WealthManagement.com
Two keys are to use multiple sources and read articles, rather than headlines. Headlines can be misleading and by reading articles you can understand if you agree or disagree with the logic.

Commercial brokers will have this data. If you want paid info you can go to crexi, costar, real capita analytics or reonomy.
Hey man!
Of course, there are financial news sites like Bloomberg and CNBC.
For real estate specifically, The Real Deal is awesome for keeping up-to-date on not only the market, but also seeing what the big players are acquiring.
Regardless, I think the best way is by joining a group of people who are actively investing in real estate because those are the people at the front lines.
I would highly recommend you check out Tim Bratz's stuff. I know he's got a private group with big movers and shakers in the industry.
Thank you everyone for the information. Very helpful!
All the above are great recommendations. I'll also recommend Bisnow and Commercial Observer as well. Not specifically multifamily, but focuses on commercial real estate as a whole.
