How do you go about finding apartment complexes to buy?

If you have done commercial and apartment complexes, how did you go about finding the seller?

I'm thinking just try to find the owner of the property I want and ask to buy it.

Talking to PMs. Driving the hood. My barber has given me leads. Talking with brokers. My barber and driving has worked best.

I use skipfast to find phone numbers
