Anyone build small multifamily in California?

I'm looking to build small multifamily (5 to 10 units) on a residential lot in California (Sonoma County). Anyone have any experience with this? I've been land lording for several years, this would be my first new build. Looking at modular/prefab. Any input appreciated.

Hi Ulysses,

I am thinking about that too, and I was about to post the same question. I already located land, but I heard from a friend that the process in CA is difficult. I hope we can find someone to answer our concerns. Also, I want to know what loan can cover the construction fees.
