I have a Buyer that I am working with to try and finalize my first deal on a commercial property and I have been dealing with the sellers rep. We are negotiating right now but the sellers rep said they are asking for a 3% Buyers Fee? Isn't that the 3% the commission to be paid to the seller, and why would my buyer pay their commission, isnt there seller supposed to pay their commission? Helpful responses appreciated.
Depends on what the seller has agreed to do...realtor fees are 6%---looks like their looking for each side to pay part of it. Although, some negotiate less.
@Darvin Ezell I too am working on a multi family deal in St Pete/Dundein Florida, and the listing agent said they I would only receive a 1% co-broke and that I would need to look to my buyer for the any other commissions. It is whatever is disclosed and everyone agrees to.
And all transaction fees are negotiable by any party
