Buying Land In North Carolina

Hey Biggerpocket Fam! 

A Colleague of mine is looking to buy/hold land here in North Carolina, what areas would you recommend looking into that you see being potential hot areas in the next 5-10 years?

Are they open to south carolina? Union County is outgrowing itself. In 5-10 years, I can see it spewing over into Anson county and across the SC border around Paigeland. Land around the outskirts of Denver, NC also.

We have clients buying land around the under construction I-540 southern loop - Clayton, Garner, Holly Springs, and Wendell areas.

Companies like FedEx and auto companies are moving/looking at Sanford area. The last article I read was some 7000+ jobs will be gained in the area in the next few years. Seems to be a quick boom at some point, just my view.
